Who This Page Is For
This page is for people who use the TECOBI mobile app, including employees or authorized users of businesses that use TECOBI. If you are a customer of a business that uses TECOBI, that business may control some of the records related to your messages, appointments, forms, calls, or transactions. You can still contact TECOBI using the instructions below, and we will help route or process the request as appropriate.
How to Request Deletion
To request account or data deletion, follow these steps:
- Send an email to privacy@tecobi.com from the email address associated with your TECOBI account when possible.
- Use the subject line "TECOBI account deletion request".
- Include your name, email address, phone number if it is associated with your account, and the business or dealership you are connected with if applicable.
- Tell us whether you want your TECOBI mobile app account deleted, specific personal data deleted, or both.
- Respond to any reasonable verification request we send so we can confirm that the request is authorized.
You may also contact TECOBI by mail using the address below. Email is usually the fastest way for us to verify and process a deletion request.
What We Delete
After we verify an authorized deletion request, TECOBI will delete or disable account data that we control and that is not needed for the retained purposes described below. This may include:
- TECOBI mobile app account access and login credentials controlled by TECOBI.
- Profile and contact information associated with the TECOBI app account, such as name, email address, phone number, role, and account settings.
- Mobile app device registrations, push notification tokens, device identifiers used for notifications, and notification preferences associated with the account.
- Support requests or account records that are no longer needed to provide the service, unless retention is required or permitted as described below.
What We May Keep
Some information may be retained when deletion is not technically or legally appropriate, or when TECOBI processes the information on behalf of a client business. Data we may keep includes:
- Business records, communication history, lead records, appointments, signed documents, call records, message records, audit logs, security logs, and other records that TECOBI processes on behalf of a client business or must keep for legal, security, compliance, accounting, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, or service-continuity purposes.
- Records that belong to or are controlled by a TECOBI client, such as a dealership or other business using TECOBI. Those records may need to be requested from that business directly.
- Backups and archived copies until they expire through normal backup lifecycle processes.
- Aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized information that no longer identifies an individual user.
Retained records are kept only for as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by applicable law, contract, security, compliance, accounting, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, or operational requirements.
Timing
TECOBI will review deletion requests after receiving enough information to verify the request. We aim to respond within 30 days. Some requests may take longer if additional verification is needed, if the request involves records controlled by a TECOBI client, or if applicable law allows or requires a different response period.
