Biography
Building the technical foundation behind TECOBI.
Ryan Flores is Chief Technology Officer at TECOBI, where he leads the company's technology strategy, software development, infrastructure, and the ongoing mission to make complicated things look deceptively simple.
As one of TECOBI's co-founders, Ryan has been helping build the company since the beginning and has remained involved with the platform throughout its entire evolution. Over the years, he has had a hand in nearly every part of TECOBI's technology, from the earliest versions of the platform to the systems that now power messaging, automation, integrations, analytics, AI, and dealer operations at scale.
Ryan has spent more than two decades building software, architecting platforms, and leading technology teams across automotive and other high-growth industries. He has a particular talent for taking complicated problems, stripping away the unnecessary parts, and turning them into technology people can actually use.
At TECOBI, Ryan leads software development, infrastructure, product architecture, data, integrations, and AI strategy. He is also frequently the last stop for problems that have already been described as 'weird,' 'impossible,' or 'it was working yesterday.'
Ryan believes good technology should make businesses faster, smarter, and easier to run, not create more dashboards, more meetings, or more work. He has very little patience for unnecessary complexity, buzzwords without substance, or building something simply because everyone else is doing it.
Perspective
Software, music, and a direct approach to leadership.
Outside of TECOBI, Ryan is a bassist, singer, songwriter, and recording engineer. He is a longtime member of Southern California rock band Sprung Monkey, has toured as a bassist with P.O.D., and currently fronts his own alternative rock band, Riptide Radios.
Ryan is also a husband and father in a large blended family. Between software, music, performing live, and kids, solving a production issue at TECOBI can occasionally qualify as the quiet part of his day. His leadership philosophy is simple: hire smart people, trust them to do great work, take ownership when something goes wrong, solve the real problem, and never make something more complicated than it needs to be.
